- Mode of Action: Ergon is a Quinone outside inhibitor, inhibits mitochondrial electron transfer between cytochrome b and Cytochrome C1 and involves interfering with the respiration process of fungal cells disrupting energy production. It acts by inhibiting spore germination, as a result, fungal growth is suppressed, and the spread of infections within the plant is halted.
